The Church in an Age of Permanent Revolution: Can She Survive? 5/10/2011

From its very beginning the Catholic Church has been the target of hatred and attacks. However, since the Enlightenment and the French Revolution, the attack on the Church has been different in kind and continuous. This attack has exploded not only Christian but human categories. What has been the nature of this revolution and what does it portend for the future? Fr. Michael Keating of the University of St. Thomas will attempt to draw connections between the last two centuries’ attacks on the Church and illuminate the challenges of the future, showing how current battles fit in the larger fight for the Church’s survival.

What's on the Menu
Appetizer
Homemade salsa and chips
Dinner
Shredded BBQ Beef sandwiches, and smoked Jamacian Jerk Chicken
In addition to the pork we will be serving the kind of beans your wife and your doctor do not want you to eat! These baked beans are packed with bacon and onions! Now, no BBQ is complete with out coleslaw so there will be plenty of that and of course corn bread with a kick. We like to put jalapeno honey glaze on our corn bread!

Fresh baked brownies covered in a chocolate sauce served with ice cream!
